Our learning approach
At our school, learning is explicit, student-centred and practical. Our teachers clearly show students what they are learning, why it matters, and how to achieve it step by step. We break new ideas into manageable parts, helping students build understanding and confidence.
We use data to inform teaching, monitor student growth and achievements, and provide effective feedback to guide learning. This ensures every child receives the right support, can track their progress, and reach their full potential.
Learning at our school is inclusive and equitable. We support all learning styles and needs, using proven teaching strategies and ongoing professional development to stay up to date with best practice.
Our approach also includes:
- Real-world learning: hands-on tasks, group work and exploring new ideas
- Technology: to develop digital skills and enhance learning
- Flexible teaching: tailored support with a focus on wellbeing
- Community connections: through excursions and local programs
