About our school

Our school aims to encourage lasting responsible attitudes and values, through a learning environment that is happy, safe, positive and challenging to the individual. There is an expectation that community, parents, teachers and students will work together striving for excellence. Griffith East Public School nurtures and develops children to maximise their full potential. The school has an Italian Community Language Program involving the students from Year 3 to Year 6. This program reflects the large percentage of students with an Italian background.

Quality learning and engagement

Students will take responsibility for their learning, know why they are learning, what they are learning and when they have been successful learners.

A culture of high expectations will be embedded in a challenging and balanced curriculum for all learners to learn to their full potential.

Quality teaching practice

Quality teaching, leadership and organisational practices are driven by evidenced based practices and rich student learning data.

Teaching staff collaborate and give feedback to develop and sustain quality teaching practice. Staff continually developing their professional skills.

Our students develop skills and values so that they are capable, positive, active, resilient and informed learners and citizens. They build positive relationships, resolve conflict and display respect and self discipline.
